In a previous installation , it was possible to kludge it by entering the title in a terminal and copy to the title box. Now - after a new install, even that doesn't work. Any help gratefully received. -- Nicholas Faust: Wohin der Weg? Mephistopheles: Kein Weg! Ins Unbetretene F. Where leads the path? M. No paths! along untrodden ways. It works OK here, on Ubuntu 6.06, Alexandria 0.6.1. Which version of Alexandria do you use, and which GNU/Linux distribution? What messages do you see when you run Alaxandria from a terminal and try to reproduce the crash? Lennart. On Wed, 2006-08-02 at 15:12 +0100, Nicholas J. A. I tried it the way you suggested and it works OK here. Have you tried to reinstall Alexandria? IIRC there was an update of ruby recently. Maybe that'll solve your problem... Lennart. Message-ID: <20060803225812.07da447e@raven> Hello all, i have been happily using Alexandria since quite a while, thank you for all the work! Here comes a little glitch: some books have no ISBN. Is there maybe a private number series one could use for alexandria? i have used up all 111111111111 and 2000000002,... which give me a valid checksum but now i an on the end with my imagination. Perhaps even an Private ISBN series generator would be a nice feature? thank you for any idea how to deal with books with no isbn... thank you -- bye Petr ------------------------- Petr Vanek mailto:vanous at penguin.cz http://vanous.penguin.cz http://biodynamika.cz -------------------------
