There are around 90 events all over the world & 2200 developers are participating, practicing software craftsmanship on Saturday. The *four events in Colorado * - one each in Denver , Boulder, Fort Collins & Colorado Springs- are all well-set to have an awesome day, with 90 developers signed up! There are still a few spots available at the CO Springs and Fort Collins events. While Denver & Boulder are already sold out, if you are interested in attending the code retreat, please get in touch with Jake Parsell ( jake at uncubedspace.com) for Denver, and Nick Howard (ndh at baroquebobcat.com) for Boulder. Since a few registered folks are likely to not show up, it should be possible to accommodate a few more participants. Thanks to all the local companies who are sponsoring the event by covering the expenses! Do check out the list of our sponsors at http://www.coloradocoderetreat.com/ Also, we are looking for sponsors for an after-party at each of the four locations. Please get in touch with me if you are interested in sponsoring. -- Thanks, Prakash N Murthy (347) 228 3993 http://twitter.com/_prakash -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... My first inclination is to cancel the meeting. I rarely miss Boulder Ruby but it does pop up here and there. If others would like to run the meeting in my absence, please email me offlist. Furthermore, I'd like to have a backup organizer in 2012. I'm looking for someone to help plan out and run meetings. I'll still do most the work but it would be nice to have another organizer to lean on. Again, if interested please email me offlist. No date has been set but I'm shooting for early to mid September. I am looking for help organizing the conference. The main 'job' I'd like to fill is a web master who can fully manage the conf's website, copy and design. You don't have to be a designer but should fully know html/css and make any new page look good within the context of the current design. Please email me offlist if interested. Also, we recently published some stories and pictures from 2011's conference. If you haven't checked it out, spend 15 minutes reading it over. http://rockymtnruby.com/reflections Cheers, Marty From nre at foraker.com Wed Dec 7 09:19:33 2011 From: nre at foraker.com (Neal Enssle) Date: Wed, 7 Dec 2011 07:19:33 -0700 Subject: [Boulder Ruby Group] Foraker Labs' Ruby on Beer hackfest: 12/8/11 Message-ID: Foraker Labs' Ruby on Beer hackfest: 12/8/11 Ruby on Beer is an informal hackfest and a chance to socialize with other Rubyists in the Boulder area. Bring your own laptop and join the Foraker Labs crew on the second Thursday each month for free beer, food, and hacking. http://rubyonbeer.com Our next meeting is THURSDAY, December 8th, starting at 5:00PM at our office: Foraker Labs 4775 Walnut Street, Suite 200 Boulder, Colorado There will be food. And beer. And of course we'll be hacking on stuff. Feel free to bring your own project or just come and pair up on a code kata or two. And while we obviously love all things Ruby and Rails, we're really more interested in fellowship and learning new things. So don't be afraid to drop in if you're working in a different technology! Need more information? Got questions? Drop us a line at rubyonbeer at foraker.com. Planning on coming? Of course you are! Let us know by signing up on Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/Boulder-Ruby-on-Beer I look forward to seeing you there!
