I've been using an instiki installation for a while now at rubyamf.org. I've
been using the default WEBrick server. Every once and a while it seems to
halt, then when going to the site nothing loads. It's just a blank page. It
is now happening more as I've been getting some more traffic to the site. I
need to get this resolved soon. Is it due to traffic, or the way it is
running on the server?

Does instiki.org use the default webrick server? if so how much traffic are
you getting without any crashes?

machines.  I submitted a defect to the trac system but it appears I can't go
look at it.  No access.

Yeah it's a weird bug. Right now all I can do is keep restarting when it
goes down. I'm gonna get it running on LightTPD over the weekend. I'll let
you know how that goes. I'm thinking LightTPD will fix the problem.

Hello guys,

I've been using Instiki for quite some time now, on both windows and linux.
I've worked with versions starting 0.9 up until 0.11pl1 and I can't  
get ANY of them to generate a PDF for me.

I've searched the instiki.org page and the web in general but I can't  
find any good samples that outline:

* what I need installed (gems, other applications)
* how I can troubleshoot PDF generation errors

it's so bad that my PDF link isnt even showing up in the views part. I  
found other instikis where the link shows up but doesnt work.

any thoughts?

Okay, here is the short answer.

It doesn't work properly right now. We are looking at ways around
this, prmarily by using Maruku instead of Bluecloth.

Longer answer, there is a rails pdf plugin and a pdfwriter for ruby,
but it has a special syntax and a lot of conversion is required.

Hi all-

I'm wondering if there is a way to use Greek characters or subscripts in
wiki words. For example:

[[&Delta;V]] and [[P~s~]]

render as

&Delta;V and P~s~

These characters render correctly when they aren't inside the brackets.
I also tried doing the alternate text:

[[dV|&Delta;V]]

but it still renders the same. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all!

I am using Instiki in lots of places, and I enjoy the easy access,
including not having to log in.

On the other hand, I would love to have a notify feature where I mark a
page as interesting, and get emails whenever the page has been updated.

I would like to implement this in Instiki.  Is this within the spirit of
Instiki, or would I need to fork?

I would fokus the security only towards avoiding spam.  Easy access is
still a priority.

Excellent.  I thought I'd start after the 0.12 release.  Is there a
schedule for this?

Will the 0.12 release be available by gem?

Is there a migration path for exisitng sites from 0.10 to 0.12?

0.12 was delayed, because i didn't have time yet to get together all
the forks and patched versions. i hope to have 0.12 end of june. most
of the delay was because of the move from textdrive-trac to
rubyforge-svn.
tell me if you want a contributor-access to the svn, tell me your
rubyforge-id in this case and i can give you access.
