From ikegami at madscientist.jp Sun Nov 7 15:04:34 2004 From: ikegami at madscientist.jp (IKEGAMI Daisuke) Date: Sun Nov 7 15:04:30 2004 Subject: [MingRuby-announce] [ANN] Ming/Ruby 0.1.7 released Message-ID: <7tsm7l77e5.wl%ikegami@madscientist.jp> Hi, all. Ming/Ruby 0.1.7 for Ming 0.3beta1 has been released and is now available for download from: http://mingruby.rubyforge.org/ This version is just alpha for a release candidate of the next stable version, however the first chance to use Ruby with the current Ming 0.3beta1. Unfortunately some functions in Ming/Ruby 0.1.6 or older must not work because any backward compatibility has been lost from version 0.1.7. I'm sorry this issue, however, for supporting new features of Ming this risk cannot be avoided. If you need Ming 0.2a or JaMing, please use Ming/Ruby 0.1.6 instead. NOTE: I currently have very little free time, so I intend to move this quickly to a final release (possibly within a week?) unless someone reports very serious problem with this release candidate. What is Ming/Ruby ----------------- 'Ming/Ruby' is a ruby extension library for generating Macromedia Flash (SWF). It is a wrapper for Ming which is a C library for the same purpose. ChangeLog for ver 0.1.7 ----------------------- * work with Ming 0.3beta1 * big changes from ver 0.1.6 Ikegami
