Does anyone know if it's possible to use the Nginx upload module (
https://github.com/vkholodkov/nginx-upload-module) with carrierwave (
https://github.com/jnicklas/carrierwave)? My uploads are currently really
slow and I'm hoping to speed them up a bit.

I've done a lot of Java and some Ruby, but I haven't done any Flash.
I know flash + ruby is a fast way to get a lot of things done.

Is there a resource you guys recommend for picking up Flash for a more
experienced programmer?

Hello, you might want to try this as an option if you want to do flash but
in Java. You have access to the entire flash api and much more. Look for
gwt4flex here www.emitrom.com
