Subject: Documentation Error

I was trying to apply the processing rules to RedCloth 3.0.4 and ran
into a documentation error. According to the documentation at
http://redcloth.rubyforge.org/ the rule for glyphs is called
"inline_textile_glyphs", but every time I tried using that as a rule,
I got an error saying "undefine method..." Finally, I looked in the
lib/redcloth.rb file in the RecCloth 3.0.4 gem and found that it's
actually "glyphs_textile" not "inline_textile_glyphs". I have edited
the rubyonrails.org wiki entry for RedCloth to note this difference
between the code and the documentation.

Hello!

I'm new on this list (and actually pretty new to redcloth also).

This e-mail is about the wery fine feature of converting quotes. I'm
norwegian, and we have our own qoutes: "?" and "?".

I therefore hacked this feature, so it is now in lib/redcloth.rb,
around line 404, so I now have:

        [ /([^\s\[{(>#{PUNCT_Q}][#{PUNCT_Q}]*)"/, '\1&raquo;' ], #
	double closing -- Henriks hack for norske hermetegn
        [ /"(?=[#{PUNCT_Q}]*[\s#{PUNCT_NOQ}])/, '&raquo;' ], # double
	closing -- Henriks hack for norske hermetegn

        [ /"/, '&laquo;' ], # double opening
	# Henriks hack for norske hermetegn

 

(the "raquo" and "laquo" thing)

That's wery fine, exept I'll have to do it again in the next update
for redcloth..

I therefore wonder if it's possible to get support for norwegian
qoutes inn redcloth in a smarter way?

FWIW, Polish typography uses ?this style?, while, for example, Czech
uses ?this style? (different closing quote). It would be great if this
could be solved universally.
