[Wtr-general] how to press function keys (F5)?

I have been looking for that for age's, but not been successful. 

My script needs to say to the browser, that F5 (or sometimes F8) key has been pressed.
How can I make it do that? The same goes for ctrl and alt keys.

Please help!
