[Wtr-general] How to Pass values from Excel into variables in Watir ?

How can I achieve this? 
For example i have a list of data say urls entered in an excel sheet, that need to be passed into a variable in a method or function of watir .That is to get the values from an excel spreadsheet into the variable ?

Any help or pointers is very much appreciated.
